Logistics is the pacing function of expeditionary operations. Before a rifleman can eliminate a target, an infantry company can secure an objective, or the Marine Corps can train shoulder-to-shoulder with allies and partners, sustainment and equipment must be readily available at the right place and right time.
Motor Transport Unveils Integration Lab, Driving Tactical Wheeled Vehicle Modernization

Previously, Marine Corps program offices integrating new systems onto the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle faced significant logistical challenges. The process involved requesting a vehicle from Program Executive Officer Land Systems’ (PEO LS) Program Manager Motor Transport (PM Motor-T), costly and complex vehicle shipments, and potential roadblocks to project deadlines because of vehicle availability constraints. This system created inefficiencies and drove up costs.
In an increasingly complex global landscape, the speed of decision-making on the battlefield is not just an advantage, it is the ultimate arbiter of victory.
Charleston, SC (March 18, 2026) Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic hosted the Systems of Systems Naval Integration Experiment (SOSNIE) for its 7th year. The two-week experiment stress-tested more than 40 state-of-the-art communications technologies used for a variety of essential military capabilities and included the use of manned and unmanned autonomous systems on land, sea and in the air. More than 150 Sailors, Marines, soldiers, Department of Navy civilians, and industry partners participated in the experiment, which took place in both a field environment at NIWC Atlantic’s Small Autonomous Unmanned Systems Research (SAUSR) Range and off the shore of Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. (U.S. Navy photo by Joe Bullinger/Released)' />
