Josielyn Williams, material handler, Fleet Support Division, accepts the first place prize from Samantha Atkinson, management and program analyst, in the annual FSD Chili Cook-Off at warehouse 406 aboard the Yermo Annex of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow. Williams' chili creation "Sriracha " earned her a $50 Visa gift card and some other goodies. The event raises money for the FSD Employee Appreciation Day activities.

Employees from Fleet Support Division enjoy trying various chilis during their annual Chili Cookoff event held on the Yermo Annex aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Oct. 24. Four judges tasted 19 chili varations and selected their top three favorites, awarding prizes to the winners. By all accounts, it was a close call!

Military spouses gathered for food and friendship at the Military Spouse's Ball Gown Giveaway event held at the Desert View Housing Community Center aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Oct. 12. Ruth Clemans, and Alma MartinezRuiz worked with the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society to gather dozens of new and gently used formal gowns, fancy shoes and even jewelry for military spouses to choose from in preparation for the upcoming Marine Corps Ball.
