Clinical Counseling

Marine and Family Service Department is staffed with licensed clinicians who provide counseling on a variety of topics such as:

  • crisis intervention
  • marriage and family enrichment
  • grief recovery
  • traumatic stress disorders
  • stress management
  • communication skills and depression

We serve active-duty and retired military personnel and their family members. If you need help or would just like to talk to a counselor, call M&FSD at (760) 577-6533 or DSN 282-6533. Counseling offices are located in Building 17.

New Parent Support Program
The New Parent Support Program offers valuable training for soon-to-be parents, new parents, or parents of children up to five years old. The program offers the following classes and services: parenting skills; children's developmental stages, behavior and discipline; getting to know your newborn; play mornings; "Mommy's Basic Training;" prepared childbirth instruction; "Daddy's Baby Boot Camp;" and specialized training in child safety and potty training.
