City and base officals broke ground on one, of two slated sites, for Mairne Corps Logistics Base Barstow's solar farm, May 15. The solar farm is expected to provide nearly 25 percent of MCLB Barstow's electrical needs as well as saving the base nearly $3.9 million in the next 20 years.

More than 1,000 people participated in the 3.1 mile race to show appreciation to the Veterans and promote a healthy well-being.
