Captain Adam Rahman, Headquarters Company commanding officer, serves Marine Corps birthday cake to the oldest and youngest Marines present during the Corps' 243rd birthday celebration held at the Veterans Home of California - Barstow, Calif., Nov. 6. The oldest Marine is 98-year-old Guy "Dean" Smith who served in the Marine Corps from 1939 to 1948, while the youngest Marine is 18-year-old Lance Cpl. Alexas Toomer, who enlisted in December 2017.
