Following her recounting of how her family fled Vietnam at the end of the Vietnam War, Master Sgt. Tianna Tien shares a moment of levity with a Veterans Home of California- Barstow resident. Tien and her family had to flee her native Vietnam after the communist North Vietnamese seized power. The regime then began imprisoning and executing those who had opposed them during the war.

The new tracks will help increase capacity for equipment transport to and from the base, saving the Department of Defense additional funds in transportation costs for all branches of service.
