Looking not in the least bit tired from the 2,800-plus miles he’s run so far, Chris Miller exits the front gate of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., the morning of Dec. 5. The native of Fort Wayne, Ind., and his cousin Mike Dusman began the Chris Cross America campaign to run from coast to coast July 13 at Ellis Island, N.Y., to try and remove the stigma about drug and alcohol addiction recovery and inspire hope in those facing that scenario.
