A CH-47 Chinook helicopter air lifts a M777 howiitzer to transport it to a forward operating base in a war zone. The pilots who lift the nearly five ton cannon train on inoperative M777 "lift guns" prepared for specifically that purpose at Production Plant Barstow, Marine Depot Maintenance Command, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif.
