1st Maintenance Battalion leadership dispatched Marines for hands-on training at Production Plant Barstow aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Ca. from July 8-18. This training took place over a two-week period with the Marines divided into two one-week segments for different groups. The participants included 3521s (Motor Transport Mechanics), 1341s (Engineer Equipment Mechanics), 1345s (Engineer Equipment Operators), 1141s (Electricians), 1391s (Fuels Specialists), and 1171s (Water Support Technicians). The Marines were involved in disassembling and reassembling vehicles, conducting PPB repairs to 5th Echelon, and performing minor repairs.
