These courses enhance abilities in police biking, while also covering mechanics to drug interdiction, off-road riding, and live-firing exercises.

During this time, Brigadier General Woodworth presented awards of recognition to several individuals, gained insight into department programs, received a haircut from base barber, Phendell Johnson, and took a tour of the new firehouse facilities.

MCCS Barstow hosted the 2nd Annual Barstow Open Golf Tournament at the Marine Memorial Golf Course aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow on April 27, 2024. Colonel Gregory Pace, base commanding officer, and Lieutenant Colonel Arturo Manzanedo, base executive officer, expressed their warm welcome and gratitude to the 12 teams, comprising a total of 48 golfers, who took part in the event. The organizers extended their appreciation by presenting awards (1st & 2nd place overall, Honest Team, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin), a Grand Prize Raffle, and providing food to all the participants as a token of thanks. The Child Development Center and MCCS Barstow celebrated the annual Month of the Military Child event aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow on April 17, 2024. Children, teachers, and parents wore purple shirts in support of military children and their unique needs as a result of their parents' service. Firefighters, Marines, and Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard came out in support of the event by providing games, giveaways, a tour inside the fire engines, and up-close introductions with the horses.
